Abstract

The technological development currently being experienced is evident in the different areas that make up society.  As a result, there is the social challenge of strengthening the teaching-learning processes.  This will contribute to achieve a robust citizenship with the digital skills and competencies required by an increasingly complex and technological environment.  This communication presents some results achieved in the development of a teaching and learning experience for the strengthening of skills on computational thinking and social interaction.  In this activity, active methodologies such as challenge-based learning, problems and gamified learning scenarios were used, incorporating learning resources with robotics as an educational technology.  The experience involved 46 students from the first levels of formal education, belonging to a Spanish educational center.  In addition, a rubric and checklists were used as data recollection instruments.  The analysis procedures applied to the data resulted in significant progress in the computational thinking and social development skills explored in the planned learning activities.
